The Space Monsters, mutants and demons are characters from the World War X series. As their name suggests, the monsters are a species of space monsters found in outer space which typically have no alliances.
The mutants and demons on the other hand are more likely to make alliances, and are even probably more willing to do so. Like the existing allies of the Invaders, the mutants and demons are hostile to the Space Fleet.
In general, these are hostile alien races, demons or monsters that collaborate with The Invaders in their desire to rid the universe of humanity, like their own allies (though Allies of the Invaders are promised that once The Invaders take over Earth, they will rule too. Indeed, some of the Invaders' allies do rule the world with The Invaders).
But there are also some that seek to destroy humanity because on their journey across the stars, most of them see them as unwelcome invaders and seek to destroy them. In spite of this, there is one monster that is feared by the entire World War X series universe: The Obliterator of the Universe which comes across the Space Fleet posing as a friendly human before turning into a monstrous beast.
As their names suggest, the monsters are numerous space monsters that the Space Fleet are often forced to do battle with; unlike other enemies of humanity, these monsters are largely inaudible or rather, do not possess power of speech like Firroth, Rivelnesh, Zhakuh and Sovmulnaar for instance in the early stories of Defenders of Earth.
Some also appear to have different forms and origins; for instance, the Red-Eyed Doom Hyena was once made by Hialivian scientists as a weapon, but in a malfunction it went berserk, killed its creators then killed all who ever knew its creators and didn't know its creators and turned Hialiv, its home world into a wasteland while The Ancient Vision is more of a mythological creature that becomes all too real.
Many of the aliens in the World War X series are fairly consistent and straightforward, being based on reptiles, birds, mammals, etc. The Mutants on the other hand, have more Lovecraftian designs and even Lovecraftian style names. They share the same xenophobia for humanity as the Allies of the Invaders and The Invaders themselves.
Despite their hatred for humanity however, the mutants share one thing in common with The Invaders; they co-operate with other mutant species. For instance, The Silver Eyes are known for their co-operation and alliance with The Tentacles. And in spite of their Lovecraftian designs, they probably aren't quite as bad as other aliens like them, the so called Eldritch Abomination.
Like the Space monsters, the Space demons are exactly what it says on the tin: A species of demon like creatures prowling in the far reaches of space. These demons were created by the wiki founder's theological interests and indeed, most of them appear to have been inspired by demons such as Legion, Abaddon, Satan and Lucifer.
Just as demons such as Lucifer, Abaddon and Legion are mentioned in Christian demonology, many of these demons are mentioned in the numerous religions across the universe, courtesy of the Scyther android. Unlike Lucifer or Satan, these demons are very much real in the World War X series universe and have a very unique fashion: While the mutants are shown as co-operative, the demons work alone yet some demons such as Aruzan have numerous legions of demons under their command.
While these demons despise the Space Fleet, they are ultimately like the rest of the alien races in the series as there is only one being that hates everything more than them: The Obliterator of the Universe.
